Cherita Griffin, LPCC-S, NCC, C-DBT, SEL-F, CMIP

Cherita is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 20 years of experience in mental health, specializing in trauma-informed care, mindfulness practices, and therapeutic interventions. She has held advanced certifications in Clinical Trauma (CCTP), Grief Counseling, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and currently hold certification in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (C-DBT). Cherita is also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Social-Emotional Learning Facilitation (SEL-F), and is certified in Mindfulness training (CMIP). She has earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and have additional graduate-level education in Applied Behavioral Analysis and Forensic Psychology. Cherita has completed extensive training in mindfulness practices, integrating them into her work with individuals, couples, and families to promote emotional resilience, self regulation, and well-being. Her experience spans diverse settings, including private practice, community mental health, and behavioral health organizations, where she has worked with individuals facing challenges such as trauma, addiction, and mental health crises. She is dedicated to continuing education and evidence-based practices, which has earned her recognition for her contributions to the field. She is passionate about equipping other mental health professionals with tools to incorporate mindfulness into their practice. Through her presentations, she will focus on practical strategies and real-world applications to enhance client outcomes and foster personal growth.
