Katherine Vanke, LPCC, LCPC

Katherine is a counselor (LPCC-OH, LCPC-IL) based in Cleveland, OH, with 5 years of clinical experience, within private practice, intensive outpatient groups (IOP), and college counseling settings. Katherine enjoys working with a range of identities, with a specific focus on college-aged individuals, LGBTQIA2S+, AFAB clients, and individuals living with chronic illnesses. She is passionate about supporting clients through stressful, challenging life transitions and believes that every individual is the expert of their own experience. Katherine’s clinical approach incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and a Feminist Narrative framework. She is also a trained Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) therapist. Katherine strives to make the therapeutic process affirmative, culturally-responsive, and collaborative. Katherine strives for her therapeutic practice to be rooted in observing every client from a biopsychosocial perspective and developing treatments that fit the client’s multidimensional identities. She integrates somatic techniques such as mindfulness, body scans, and yoga.
