Dr. Pamela Ebert, LPCC-S

Dr. Pamela Ebert is a licensed professional clinical counselor with a supervisory credential who works with adults. Her specialties include: EMDR, creative counseling modalities, addictions counseling, career construction, creative counseling approaches, corporate consultation, corporate training, Appalachian and rural cultural competencies, and girls’ and women’s issues. Dr. Ebert earned her doctorate degree in counselor education and supervision at Walden University. She also has an educational specialist degree at Kent State University and a master’s degree in clinical mental health from Walsh University. She has a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in human development and family studies. Prior to private practice, Dr. Ebert has served as a counselor in urban, suburban, and rural settings in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Maryland. She has extensive experience working with community mental health in Appalachia, conducting qualitative research, and providing education and supervision for counseling students and supervisees. Academic work is close to Dr. Ebert’s heart. She has taught at the graduate level in prestigious settings, including Northeast Ohio Medical University, John Carroll University, Kent State University, Walsh University, and the University of Akron. Courses taught include Career Construction; Foundations of Clinical Medicine; Program Evaluation; and Professional Orientation, Ethics, and Identity. Dr. Ebert is a lifelong learner and educator, and feels deeply that education is essential to the human condition. Dr. Ebert’s counseling approach is informed by her Appalachian roots, the variety of her career experiences, and the many learning opportunities afforded to her. She believes in the power of self-reflection, personal evolution, and the influence of belief in something bigger than oneself. Dr. Ebert likes to have a down-to earth, but academic approach to her work.
