Program Description
Attendees will learn about management and administration within supervision with a focus on common organizational practices and standards, as well as relevant ethical, legal, and professional expectations. Topics related to the roles and responsibilities of supervisors and supervisees will include: clinical documentation; reporting; case assignment and case management; emergency response; promoting a culture of collaboration, and wellness; navigating multiple roles; the utilization of best practice for client care and program development; and summative and formative evaluation.
Learning Objectives
- Learn the qualities of good supervision and dual-role supervisors.
- Learn the basics of supervision contracts and reporting logs, as well as the state laws surrounding clinical supervision.
- Identify supervision strategies related to effective and engaged care (to include clinical documentation, case assignment, and case management, and utilizing evidence-based and research-based practice and evaluation).
- Understand the role of policies and procedures for handling emergencies.
- Explore and understand the importance of promoting a culture of collaboration and wellness through a group awareness building activity.
