Program Description

This training is focused on the effective use of meditation practices to reduce symptoms of anxiety. Meditation is a widely known practice in both secular and spiritual settings however little training is provided to demonstrate effective methods and strategies to improve the quality of meditative practices. This training will focus on examining research in the use of various meditative practices to reduce symptoms of anxiety, explore different strategies the improve the effectiveness of meditation and learn how to model and engage these practices in therapeutic settings.

Learning Objectives

  • Attendees will learn how meditation reduces anxiety by examining relevant research in the mental health field.
  • Attendees will learn a minimum of 3 effective approaches to meditation in reducing anxiety.
  • Attendees will learn how to apply various aspects of meditation in the therapeutic setting.
